Come November, Krosmaga will be launching its e-sports circuit. And what better way to launch it than with an open tournament for you to train up and warm up? Get the scoop in this announcement!

You've probably heard a few rumors already, but we can now officially confirm it: Ankama has a Krosmaga e-sports circuit in the works! We're not just talking a few large-scale tournaments, but an initiative spread throughout the entire year: every month, your ranking in the seasonal leaderboard will be crucial! Tournaments bringing together the best players every month, major championships open to everyone, plenty of cash prizes, all on one central website devoted to Krosmaga e-sports… You'll hardly believe it!

We'll tell you all about it very soon. Until then, it's time for some serious training with the Krosmaga OPEN, in which the top 4 players will qualify for a future tournament: the Krosmaga Exclusive Tournament!

Format

Since the tournament has an unlimited number of participants, we went with a flexible format. First off, you'll be split up into groups of 8 or 16 players (depending on the numbers of participants). Only the top player in each group will move on, so you'll have to stay ahead of the pack! Matches will be played in BO3* format, with no losers bracket. The number of groups will depend on how many players register for the tournament.

After the group phase, players who've qualified will be randomly divided up, with no losers bracket. Matches will be BO5**.

As there will be no seeding system for this tournament, placement in the groups as well as the final bracket will be drawn at random. The tournament format may change based on the number of registered players.

Each new tournament comes with new surprises! And we're pleased to announce that the 4 semifinalists will land a qualifying spot for the Krosmaga Exclusive Tournament taking place October 20th and 21st! We'll soon give you the full details of what will be a very unique tournament!
